We might be a little biased here at Wamiz since one of our beloved Happiness Officers is an Italian Greyhound!
But for real, these dogs are the absolute best dogs. Here are a few things you should know about them:
Do Italian Greyhounds make good pets?
Yes they do! They’re affectionate, easy to take care of, and small enough to live in apartments and cities.
Are Italian Greyhounds expensive?
Like most purebred dogs, Italian Greyhounds can be pretty expensive. To purchase a puppy, you’ll probably have to pay between £1,000 and £2,000 on average.
Do Italian Greyhounds bark?
Italian Greyhounds don’t bark as much as terriers or other toy breeds (like Pomeranians are Chihuahuas, for example). However, they do have a voice, and they’ll use it to alert you if someone is getting close to your house!
Do Italian Greyhounds need a lot of exercise?
Italian Greyhounds don’t need as much exercise as most sighthounds, but don’t let their size and calm demeanour fool you – they still need to stretch their legs every day. From 1-8 years, you should aim to exercise your Iggy a minimum of 1 hour every day. After that, during their senior years, they’ll be content with a minimum of 30-45 minutes a day.
