Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, or Lili for short, came into the world Friday at 11:40 am. The little bundle of joy weighed 7 lbs 11oz and is now settling in at her new home near Montecito, Santa Barbara, USA.
Mum and baby are doing well, according to a statement released by Meghan and Harry over the weekend. The couple also explained the origins of their daughter's adorable name. Lilibet is the Windsor family nickname for the Queen, who is the baby's great-grandma.
Prince Harry and Meghan announce the new arrival
Meghan and Harry have yet to release any pics of the new arrival, although they did share a heartfelt post on their Archewell website.
The couple received plenty of messages of love and support from friends, family, and other well-wishers, including Prime Minister Boris Johnson. He welcomed the "wonderful news" and sent his "many congratulations" to the couple.
Baby Lili meets the rest of the family
The world will have to wait a little longer before it gets to meet little Lili. In the meantime, she's getting to known her baby brother Archie. And she's got two furry siblings who will always look after her. They're a Beagle named Guy and a Labrador Retriever who goes by the name of Pula.
And these cute pups are very much part of the Sussex clan. The canines got a shout out during the couple's Oprah interview earlier this year. Meghan said walking the pooches helped her manage stress levels during the really tough times, while Prince Harry remarked that the dogs 'completed' the family.
