When retired nurse Fee Sharples from Norfolk was diagnosed with cancer in 2014, her two dogs played an important role in helping her cope.
Now she wants to give something back to the charity that helped her with her care and treatment by launching a canine photo competition, and she's recruited a cast of celebrities to take on the role of judge.
Britain's Next Top Dog 2021
Britain's Next Top Dog 2021 will see Claire Balding, Graham Norton, Stephen Fry, Jeremy Vine, Gabby Logan, Saira Khan, Jake Humphrey, and Nigel Havers select the winners in each category. A public vote will then decide the overall Top Dog.
Fee's pups, a black Labrador called Inca and a Norfolk Terrier called Pickle, inspired the retired nurse to launch the competition to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Fee was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer which spread to her pelvis, and is now keen to help the charity continue their life-saving research and treatment.
Fee is an experienced fundraiser. With the support of her husband John, a retired army officer, she has already raised more than £11,000 for Cancer Research UK, £53,000 for Veterans Norfolk and £217,000 for Help for Heroes.
Her latest fundraiser has the backing of a host of TV stars. They will judge photos sent in by owners across six categories: Urban Dog, Pampered Dog, Puppy Dog, Working Dog, Off-Road Dog and Playful Dog.
