Aldi to start selling hanging chair that is eggcellent for cats

Aldi is introducing a brand new hanging egg chair to its product range. But don't think it's for you. This hanging egg chair is designed for your feline friend.

Every Thursday and Sunday, Aldi releases the newest items from its Specialbuys range. 

This weekend, a new product will be added to the range that looks very similar to its popular hanging chair, only much smaller and more suitable for feline-shaped bottoms.

Purrfect chair for felines

From Sunday 23rd May, cat owners will be able to buy a feline-sized hanging egg chair. It follows the supermarket's previous hanging egg chair for humans that provided to be very popular. 

This purrfectly sized hanging egg chair is part of the retailers new Eco Pet range, which also features bamboo pet feeding bowls. Costing £34.99, the hanging chair is made of natural hand-woven wicker and supported by a metal frame. And the good news for pet owners is that the chair comes with a removable inner cushion, so it's easy to take off and wash.

The discount retailer is keen to cash in on our ongoing passion for pets. Since the start of the first lockdown last year there's been a significant increase in demand for pet-friendly furnishings and online searches for things like 'pet-friendly kitchens'.

Aldi's hanging egg chair will be available to pre-order online from 23rd May and bought in-store from 30th May. But don't hang about, Aldi says once they are gone, they are gone!
