When Chris and Wylie Fulton from Ontario, Canada, decided they wanted a guard dog they thought a Great Dane would be a good match. After all, they are one of the biggest dogs in the world, very courageous, and an excellent watchdog.
But Chris and Wylie adopted Brewski, and he is none of those things.
The couple adopted Brewski when he was seven weeks old. He was a tiny puppy, weighing just 15 pounds. As the pup grew older, they naturally expected him to show the characteristics of a good guard dog.
But even though he's undoubtedly a big dog, Brewski is the ultimate scaredy cat, just like the famous Great Dane Scooby-Doo.
Looks can be deceiving
At 4ft tall and weighing 14 stone, Brewski's impressive stature certainly makes him stand out.
But don't let his looks fool you. Brewski is a bit of a wuss.
This gentle giant is scared of pretty much everything, including small animals, sweet wrappers, fire alarms, and even sticks of celery. He's even scared of walking backward out of small spaces. His owners say that there are just too many things to list, but it's safe to say that there isn't much Brewski isn't scared of.
Brewski seems utterly oblivious to just how big he is. He seems to think he's a lapdog. The big softie will try to sit on his owners' lap, which, as you can imagine, with a dog that big, can take your breath away!
Fortunately, even though they wanted a guard dog, Chris and Wylie see the funny side and love their big baby.
