Despite the circumstances, the Queen is determined to make the most of her birthday by spending a little quality time with her new Corgi pups, Fergus and Muick.

It hasn’t been an easy time for Her Majesty. After her husband of 73 years, Prince Philip, passed away on April 9th and was buried just this past Saturday, it’s no surprise that the Queen isn’t in a very celebratory mood.

But her resilience and determination is shining through once again: sources close to her have said that she does plan to do something special for her birthday, though it will be more private than in previous years.

Queen’s new dogs to keep her company

Two adorable Corgi pups were gifted to the Queen at the beginning of March to help her cope with Prince Philip being in hospital.

Today their role as therapy dogs is evolving even more as they are expected to help the Queen through her immense grief following her husband’s death.

Walking is a great remedy

Sources close to the Queen have stated that for her birthday, she plans to take advantage of the nice weather and walk her dogs in a beauty spot. Unlike previous birthdays however, there will probably be no photos taken of the occasion.

Though we wish the Queen didn’t have to go through this time of great turmoil, we are glad she has two wonderful companions to keep her busy, distracted, and loved.

Happy Birthday Your Majesty!
