Monday 12th April was a special day in many pub lovers’ diaries – yes, it’s the day that we were finally allowed to go back to the boozer (albeit, only in the garden).

If you’re planning your first trip to the pub in months and want to make sure that Fido can go too then take a look at some of the best dog-friendly pubs in Birmingham now.

1. The Physician, Edgbaston

Take a stroll along the river and wind up at The Physician. A warm and welcoming pub that has dog bowls and biscuits available to keep your furry friend happy.

2. The Prince of Wales, Moseley

This award-winning pub offers cocktails, real ales and cosy sheltered seating areas. What’s more, they’re very dog friendly and bar staff will provide drinks and noggin pats for your pooch!

3. The Hop Garden, Harborne

If you’re concerned about getting a seat then worry not, the spacious marquee-covered seating area outside The Hop in Harborne has space a-plenty. What’s more it’s very much open for dogs and they even have a selection of doggy treats available. The only problem is, your dog might insist you go back the next night too…

4. The Station, Sutton Coldfield

The stylish interior (complete with working toy steam train) may be be out of bounds for now but the large, covered beer garden is still a great place to spend a sunny afternoon. What’s more, dogs are welcome and the staff are likely to give out treats and water bowls to good boys and girls.

5. The Queen’s Arms, Jewellery Quarter

This traditional pub offers real ales and quirky cocktails – something for every palate. What’s more, it will welcome your four-legged friend with open arms!
