Bentley the Basset Hound is a little different from most dogs. This sensitive fellow struggles with anxiety issues and doesn't seem like the friendliest dog in the world.
Then again, Bentley spent most of his life locked up in small apartments and never got the physical or emotional support he needed.
Bentley's road to recovery
And then he met an amazing woman called Kay Taylor. Kay offered Bentley a home and gave this so-called 'problem pooch' the time and space he needed to feel comfortable. And most importantly, Kay understood that Bentley's journey to a better dog life would be two paws forward and one paw back.
As Bentley started to come out of his shell, Kay noticed he loved rolling around on the grass in the park. In fact, she'd never seen Bentley look so happy before. Unfortunately, Kay couldn't afford a big house with a garden.
Bentley's dream comes true
But that wasn't going to stop her from making Bentley's dream of his own garden come true. Kay and her partner bought a townhouse with an outdoor area and then spent a day transforming the patio into the perfect green space for Bentley.
The garden seems to have had a soothing effect on Bentley. All the time lounging on the grass in the sun has done wonders for his anxiety, and the dog that everybody had written off is now getting better and better every day!
