Two years ago, Brian the Spaniel was in a bad way. He'd just arrived at a Mayhew rescue centre after police officers found him dumped by the side of the road in the middle of the night.
He was scared, cold, and covered in his own mess. And his severely matted fur was causing skin and eye problems. In other words, this was one dog who didn't know what love felt like.
No dog has to suffer like Brian
Mayhew Animal Welfare Officer Tania Mazzoni was part of the team that took care of Brian. She said:
But things are very different for Brian now. Because after two years of care from the amazing folks at Mayhew, Brian found a new family. And these are the kind of people who deserve a dog like Brian.
As you can imagine, Brian was pretty excited when he found out he was going to a real home. In fact, he was over the moon. And luckily for us, a Mayhew adoption officer filmed the adorable moment.
Every dog's story deserves a happy ending
The short clip shows Brian (quite literally) jumping for joy as he waits for his family to arrive. The video received thousands of likes and plenty of comments wishing Brian all the best in his new home.
Mayhew is a London based rescue centre run solely by volunteers and donations. It's currently caring for 30 dogs and 150 cats. Let's hope every one of them finds their happy endings. Just like Brian did!
