When it comes to working dogs, there are some wonderful pups out there.
The friendly Labradoodle
Known for being affectionate, cheerful and sociable, Labradoodles wouldn’t be most peoples’ first choice for a gritty police dog but Harley has a mission with a difference.
It seems that fluff ball Harley has been employed as a well-being dog to bring happiness and comfort to officers after bad days on the job. Harley will also accompany officers on school visits to help officers connect with children.
Labradoodle – reporting for duty
At just 12-weeks old, the pup isn’t ready to start his duties yet but will begin his training shortly which will last for the next 12 months. After this time, he'll be a fully fledged worker dog.
Harley isn’t the first well-being dog to join the force and owner PC Tetlow had the idea after seeing the success that other police forces have had with similar operations.
Good luck little Harley, we can’t wait to see you in action next year!
