Judge Judy is famous for being TV's no-nonsense judge. Her straight-talking approach to settling different cases has brought her worldwide fame.

But despite all her years of experience and legal knowledge, Judge Judy decided to take a back seat during one particular case and let a dog called Baby Boy settle the dispute.

Canine custody dispute

The case concerned a man and a woman who both believed they owned the little white Poodle. The man claimed the dog was his beloved pup called Baby Boy, who had disappeared from his home. However, the woman insisted the dog was hers which she had purchased him as a gift for her Mum.

The man was adamant the dog was his pup and had brought photographs to prove the dog was his missing Baby Boy. However, the woman claimed that her dog was an entirely different dog, and the man was mistaken. She even said she had paperwork to prove it.

Judge Judy or Poodle?

But despite all the evidence and paperwork that both sides had brought with them to court, Judge Judy wasn't interested. She decided that the only way to know who was the dog's true owner was for the dog himself to decide.

Judge Judy then ordered the dog to be brought into court to settle once and for all who was his rightful owner. As soon as the dog was put on the courtroom floor, he ran over to the man wagging his tail. The man looked overwhelmed with joy and scooped the tiny pup up in his arms.

Naturally, Judge Judy ruled in the man's favour, and he and his beloved dog Boy Blue were reunited.
