Ben & Jerry’s have created some of the most iconic ice creams out there. Phish food, Half Baked, Cookie Dough, just the names are enough to make us drool.

Delicious but not suitable for sharing with Fido, however much he begs...

It's a dog's life

Well, good news for dogs, that’s all about to change with Ben & Jerry’s latest offerings as they’ve created two new flavours especially for dogs.

The world-famous dessert manufacturers have created a new line in treats called “doggy desserts”.

Both flavours have a base of sunflower butter and dogs can choose between pumpkin with biscuits or peanut butter with pretzels.

Very dog friendly

The ice creams were made in consultation with pet food nutritionists and experts and are considered completely safe for pups.

It seems that the pet food market, and in particular pet snacks, is a huge business these days and the sector is currently worth an estimated 4.5 billion euros (that’s A LOT of treats).

The ice cream is currently being rolled out in the US and if it’s as successful as they think it will be, the European roll out shouldn’t be far behind.

What do you think? Will you be investing in ice cream for your pup?
