You have spent hours loving decorating your home, but let's face it, your Christmas tree, baubles, tinsel and all your festive hanging decorations are just toys to your cat. Nothing is safe.
For some cat owners, their feline friends can turn into mini Grinches at this time of year.
But a cat in Japan refused to be stereotyped as a Christmas tree wrecker. As photos shared on Twitter reveal, the cat is caught staring at their owner's Christmas tree. The owner had already warned the cat not to touch the tree, and it looks as if the feline is thinking about their owner's instructions while they consider their next move.
As the owner continues to watch their pet, it seems the cat is determined not to give in to temptation. Commenting on Twitter, the amazed cat owner revealed that their tree and decorations had remarkably escaped the claws of their cat. So far.
Fellow cat owners on Twitter revealed that they aren't quite so lucky in their house. In fact, some admit to not putting up decorations at all because they know their cats will wreck them. But this Twitter user's beloved puss has shown that cats do have restraint and can resist temptation (when they want to) even when there's a huge colourful Christmas tree in front of them!
