Wheezy and lethargic: Boris Johnson’s dog was under the weather back in April

Back in April, Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his fiancé Carrie Symonds were struck down with Covid-19.
The PM famously underwent a period in intensive care while he recovered and his fiancé, who was pregnant at the time, self-isolated at No. 10.
But it seems the high-profile couple weren’t the only ones who suffered and little Dilyn the Jack Russell Terrier may have had the virus too.
According to reports, Dilyn was wheezy at the time, he refused to go for walks and was more than a little subdued.
Of course, there’s still very little evidence to suggest that Covid can be passed from humans to dogs (and no evidence at all to suggest that humans can catch it from pups).
The little pup obviously never took a test but his illness at the same time of both owners, could indicate that Dilyn was yet another high-profile victim to the virus.
Animal lover Symonds
Ms Symonds is a huge animal lover and supporter of animal rights and Dilyn the dog features regularly in her social media posts.
We’re glad the family all seem to be fully recovered and look forward to seeing more pictures of little Dilyn playing happily again soon!
