It seems that no matter how powerful you are, there’s always time for playing with our beloved dogs. Unfortunately, this has been Biden's downfall, literally.

President-Elect Joe Biden has reportedly suffered a hairline fracture to his ankle. And, according to his doctor, he got it whilst playing with his dog.

The hairline fracture will likely mean Mr Biden will be wearing a walking boot at his inauguration in January.

Painful puppy play

Initially, it seemed that he’d simply sprained his ankle but further examination revealed a hairline fracture – ouch!

The Biden family have two gorgeous German Shepherds, Champ and Major, and it seems that despite his very busy and important schedule, he still finds time to play with his dogs.

The pitter-patter of paws

Major is set to be the first rescue dog to live at the White House. He was adopted from the Delaware Humane Association in November 2018 and has since settled in with his forever family.

Experienced old-timer Champ knows the White House well, after playing in the gardens back in 2008 when Mr Biden was Vice President.

We wish the President Elect a very speedy recovery and we hope that no matter how busy and important he becomes, he’ll always make the time to play with his pups!
