Nine-year-old Bosco has had a rough few years. In fact, you could say he's the unluckiest pooch in the world. And that's because this mixed-breed has been dumped back at the Herne-Wanne Rescue Shelter by two different owners.

That's right; this poor pooch has had his heart broken not once, but twice. And now the pain is starting to show. Because while Bosco is a good boy during the day, he starts crying the second he gets locked up in his kennel at night.

A cry for help

He whines and whimpers into the early hours, hoping someone will come and offer the only thing he's ever wanted - a real forever home. As you can imagine, listening to Bosco's cries is a painful experience for all the staff at the shelter.

And that's why they decided to make a special effort to rehome Bosco. They shared a picture of Bosco's handsome face on Facebook, along with a post explaining his sad story.

13 things you need to know before getting a new puppy!

The post received hundreds of likes within a few hours and was shared more than 3,000 times. What's more, real dog lovers couldn't believe why anyone would abandon such an adorable pooch.

Things are looking up for Bosco

"I'm so sorry for him! It's just not fair," posted one user.

But most importantly, Bosco now has loads of people offering him a home. Staff at the centre are now working through the applications to make sure they find the perfect dog-parents. Because if any dog deserves that, it's Bosco.
