In case you missed the news, Americans took to the polling stations on Tuesday to vote for their favourite candidate to be president. An estimated 150 million Americans were expected to vote. That puts the 2020 presidential election on track to be the most voted-upon contest in US history.
Most ballots will be this year cast by mail, but the numbers of voters visiting polling stations in person is still set to raise eyebrows, especially with Covid-19 running rampant in the country.
For the love of dogs
Dogs, as they always do, were there to support their owners on what was sure to be one of the most stressful days of the year. What self-respecting voter would be seen at a polling station without their beloved dog by their side offering guidance and support?
The internet is awash with pictures of constituents standing in line and eagerly awaiting the turn of their human parent to cast his or her vote!

Elections belong to the people AND their dogs
No matter what the outcome of Tuesday’s vote will be, Americans will be thankful for the part played by their furry four-legged polling station counterparts.
Notwithstanding the changes that come about in the human world, we will always have our companions to keep us sane and levelled.
