Gus the Boston Terrier lives with his dog-mum and two canine sisters - Shirley and Prissy. The gang loves hanging out, going for walkies, and evening snuggle time.

But Gus has an extra hobby that he enjoys with his dog mum - playing dress up! The posing pooch even has his own Instagram page to show off his collection of adorable costumes.

Gus loves playing dress-up

So far, Gus and his mum have dressed up as characters from The Adams Family and the 90s cult classic film Wayne's World. Gus has also been an astronaut, a dinosaur, a pirate, and even a pumpkin!

But his latest costume might be the best one yet. It's definitely one of the funniest, and it's helping people smile at a time when they need it most.

A short video posted by Gus' dog mum shows the pair leaving their local supermarket dressed up as giant toilet rolls - one of the most sought after items during the first wave of panic buying before the first lockdown!

"Thank you for such a good laugh! I have to share this," wrote one fan.

"That's it. YOU WIN. BEST HALLOWEEN COSTUME EVER," posted another.

Not all dogs are like Gus

Gus loves the attention he gets from wearing his costumes, but not all pups feel the same way. Others find them uncomfortable and restrictive. So if you're thinking about dressing up your pooch for Halloween, make sure to get their permission first!

If you decide to dress up your own pet, please ensure that he is happy to wear such an ensemble and to make sure that he is safe when doing so. Remember that not all animals appreciate costumes, so please don’t force the issue if he’s not happy. Additionally, if you are using any products on your pet, please make sure they are pet friendly.
