Kitten takes some extreme measures to turn his foster home into a forever home
We humans like to think we're the ones who pick our pets. But that's not always the case. Because more often than not, these cute little critters choose us first.

Baby Mars was just one week old when he found himself at the Chatons Orphelins Animal Rescue Centre in Montreal, Canada. The cute kitten had everything he needed, including food, a warm bed, and lots of new friends.
But Baby Mars wanted more. He wanted a place to call his own and a real cat mum. So when Baby Mars went to stay with a foster carer called Coralie, he knew this was his big chance.
The charm offensive begins
So the ginger kitten went on a full charm offensive, using every trick in the book to turn his foster home into a forever home! Baby Mars became Coralie's shadow, following her around the house during the day and curling up on her lap in the evenings. And he never stopped flashing those irresistible kitty eyes.
As you can imagine, it didn't take long for Coralie to realise that she couldn't let Baby Mars go. So just a few weeks after Mars arrived, she called up the shelter and made the adoption official.
Mars always gets what he wants
Now that all his dreams have come true, Mars is the happiest cat in the world. But he still gets up to his old tricks, especially when he wants an extra bit of affection.
"He is very persuasive with his little meows and big eyes," said Coralie. "Sometimes, he will wait and stare at you until he gets what he wants — cuddles."
