Steve Greig isn't your average dog-dad. Instead, he's a genuine superhero who dedicates all his spare time to caring for dogs nobody else wants. And it all began with a little Chihuahua called Eeyore!
Following the death of his first dog, Steve decided to pass the love onto somebody who needed it the most. So he walked into his local animal shelter and asked for the dog that everybody else ignored.
A super dog dad
Speaking to the Dodo, Greg said:
"So I adopted a 12-year-old Chihuahua named Eeyore with a heart murmur and four bad knees."
And that was just the start! Because after seeing little Eyeore embrace his second lease of life, Steve realized he'd found his true purpose. So he adopted another elderly rescue dog. Then he brought another one home, and a few more after that...
Now, Steve shares his house with 10 senior dogs! He also cares for a pig named Bikini, two chickens, two ducks, two pigeons, some cats, and a rabbit. We told you he was special.
The dream life
Steve wakes up at 5 am to make breakfast for his furry family. Then he heads to work for a few hours before returning home at lunchtime to check-in with the gang. Evenings are about walkies, dinnertime, and a big family snuggle before bedtime.
