Bailey hasn't had it easy all his life, but he's hoping that a new forever home will give him the happy ending he deserves.
He is waiting for his forever home at Battersea’s London centre.
Bailey’s ideal environment
Due to his nervous disposition, Bailey would feel happier in a quiet home in the suburbs or the countryside. He would prefer to be in an adult-only home, and to be the only pet in the house.
Caring for Bailey
Bailey is middle-aged at 6-years old. He has a short coat that will be easy to groom, though it might shed quite a lot.
This is where Bailey will require the most attention. He has shown some resource guarding behaviour (including with his bed and food bowl) and will need owners who will know how to manage this problem. Bailey is also nervous about being left alone for too long, so will need owners who can spend most of their time at home and are willing to work on gradually habituating Bailey to being alone. He is also hoping to find a home with humans who will give him the space he needs when he requires it – be it from humans, places, or other dogs.
Bailey is an adorable dog who, despite his practical size, has a lot of personality. Once he bonds with you, he can be extremely affectionate and loves to spend time with you.
