Nate was brought to Seal Beach Animal Care after being found wandering aimlessly. His ears were bloodied and his tail was docked. Notwithstanding these signs of cruelty he was in good health, at least on the outside.
A history like no other
While in the care of Seal Beach, he was scanned for any sign of a previous owner. Workers discovered Nate to have belonged to an animal testing program. They opined that he had already been owned since being released from his captors only to be dumped due to behavioural problems associated with his time at the testing complex.
Seal Beach was keener than ever to have Nate rehomed and readjusted to life with humans. They reached out to the Beagle Freedom Project in order that Nate could be fostered with a view to finding his forever home.
The BFP willingly took Nate under its wing and began the process of rehabilitation. According to the BFP Nate is now well on the way to a full recovery and is waiting for his forever home.
