Thammapa Supamas once owned a beautiful white cat. But the cat had a problem that Supamas needed to fix. A fungal infection of her paw was the culprit, and a treatment of an unusual kind was, thought Supamas, the answer.
Liberally, she applied turmeric to the cat’s paw, and in case that failed to clear the fungus, Supamas applied the spice to the rest of the cat’s body and face. In doing so, she believed, the fungus would be properly treated and not return.
As a result, the cat turned bright yellow, and has been likened to the famous Pikachu Pokémon character by Facebook users. Not so, says its owner, since this particular cat can perform no electrical wizardry at all.
Homespun treatments not always the best!
Nevertheless, it has entertained numerous onlookers, who admit that at the very least the fungal paw has cleared up. Thinking twice before next using turmeric to cure a fungal paw, Supamas has since sought proper veterinary help.
A fungal paw is a common ailment of dogs and cats. It comes about by an abundance of yeast between the paw pads. A pet suffering from a yeast infection may lick its paws excessively and may have swollen, red nail beds. Seek the help of a qualified vet!
