Not many people enjoy the moment their alarm goes off in the morning. But one young pup took matters into his own paws so his owner didn’t have to get up and go to work.

Winston is an extremely cute Miniature Australian Shepherd puppy from Pennysylvania who adores his owners so much he doesn’t want them to ever leave the house.

Curious pup

A clip shared on Instagram shows little Winston sitting with his owners on their bed alongside a phone. When the phone’s alarm begins to sound, Winston tilts his head, looking curiously at the flashing and buzzing device in front of him. Without taking his eyes off the phone, Winston picks up an orange toy in his mouth as if he thinks that could have been what was making the strange noise.

But as the sound continues Winston looks curiously again at the phone. It’s then that the pup seems to suddenly realise that the sound is coming from the phone and immediately launches himself, paws first, at the device to stop the sound. He then frantically scrabbles at the screen eventually managing to turn off the alarm.

‘Good boy’

The footage shows Winston’s owner leaning forward to stroke the pup saying ‘good boy’ as Winston playfully nibbles at his hand.

The clip was shared on Winston’s very own Instagram page, with the caption, "When daddy's phone goes off it means he leaves me to go to work... so I shut it off on him so he never leaves!"

Well done Winston!
