Gone are the days of world travel, at least for now. But one Canadian couple got lucky with their globetrot because they started out in 2018 and ended just before the pandemic grabbed hold.
Martina Gutfreund and Kenny Hildebrandt of Edmonton were devastated when their 19-year-old cat died, but they soon found solace in a new feline friend Suki.
Suki, a Bengal cat, was naturally adventurous and outspoken. She was in fact the perfect companion for the couple who were desperate to travel the world.
Adventuresome trio
As soon as Suki was vaccinated, she, Gutfreund and Hildebrandt headed off on an adventure of a lifetime.
Writes InspireMore, Gutfreund said, “Currently, she [Suki] has visited a total of 13 countries, including Canada (of course!), USA, Mexico, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Croatia, Belgium, France, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Austria, and Luxembourg.
“It sounds like a pretty impressive list, but she visited most of those countries on a two-month road trip through Europe in 2018.”
