‘Gordita’ as she is affectionately called, was found alone in the streets when she was just a new-born pup.

The journey of life

Luckily, she was found by just the right people. They immediately fell in love with her and knew they had to help her. They took her in and bottle fed her, day and night, to ensure her survival. She grew up to be beautiful, strong, and healthy, and the family decided to keep her forever.

Sadly, Gordita’s family recently had to relocate to a remote island for work purposes, and they couldn’t take her along with them. Devastated, they knew the next inevitable step was to drop her off at a shelter where professionals could help to rehome her.

Hoping for a new home to call her own

Gordita was very attached to her previous family. When her owner dropped her off, the poor girl was cowering behind her, tail between her legs. At first, she put up a fight when staff tried to separate her from the only mum she’d ever known.

But now she is blossoming in the staff’s expert care. And she’s on the lookout for a new forever family who will love her for the rest of her days. Gordita is a medium sized dog who gets along well with cats and children. She is only 7-months old and is a very active pooch, so she’ll need a family who can give her all the exercise she needs.
