Daughter surprises mum with the best cure for lockdown loneliness: a puppy!

Woman finds the best ‘medicine’ to cure her elderly mother’s loneliness during coronavirus isolation and it has four paws and a very waggy tail!

Many people shielding during the coronavirus pandemic have struggled to cope with being apart from their loved ones during lockdown and the immense feeling of loneliness. But one lady may have found the cure.

Pawfect surprise

The clip shared on social media just goes to show the incredible joy and companionship that a four-legged friend can bring to someone’s life. The footage shows a woman arriving at her mother’s home with an adorable golden coloured puppy in her arms. As her mother comes to the door, the lady hides the pup behind her back for a few months. She tells her mother that she’s found something to help her while she cannot have contact with friends and family. Then she presents the pup to her mum.

Canine companion

The older lady’s face says it all. With tears in her eyes, she takes the little puppy and gives him a big cuddle as she tells it that she will be its mum. The dog appears overjoyed at meeting the lady. Its tail wags frantically while it plants licks all over the lady’s face.
