No one dog is completely alike, but Sharky takes this notion to a whole other level. We’ve seen quite a few special dogs before, but never one like him!

Sharky is waiting for adopters at Battersea’s Brands Hatch location.

Sharky’s ideal environment

Sharky can be quite fearful of new situations, people, and places, so he would do better in a countryside home. While he would be happy sharing his home with another dog, he’s not too comfortable around cats or kids.

Caring for Sharky

Sharky is a very young dog (only a year old!), so he’s still got a few puppy months (or years!) ahead of him, and hopefully a very long life too. His thick double coat means he will be a heavy shedder, so make sure you have a good vacuum at home!

Training Sharky

Sharky has been working consistently with Battersea staff to improve his confidence and ameliorate his reactions to new elements in his life. He is making progress, but will need experienced owners who have a good understanding of Border Collie character. Like most Collies though, he is incredibly intelligent, so as long as you put in the time and effort, training him should be very rewarding!

Sharky’s super unique feature

What makes Sharky so special? His adorable chin overbite of course! It gives Sharky an almost human-like face and boy…is it cute! But despite his awesome looks, Sharky’s best quality is his lovely nature…and he really wants you to see it for yourself!
