Kim Downie, Shamrock’s foster mum, quickly realised that someone needed to show this puppy the ropes. She had no idea how to interact with other dogs – all she did was clumsily bite and pull on their tails!
So Kim’s adult Goldens, Mojito and Julep, were missioned with teaching Shamrock how to be a real dog: how to roll in the mud, sit for treats, and play the proper way.
Though the two older girls were a little sceptical of the pup at first, the trio quickly grew to be as thick as thieves. Not only did Mojito and Julep show an affectionate motherly side, but Shamrock’s confidence was boosted, and her personality blossomed.
New life, new me!
Thanks to Mojito and Julep’s tender loving care, it wasn’t long before Shamrock caught the eye of a perfect forever family.
She’s been renamed Ginny and is now living her best life in a home she shares with two doggy siblings and one human one too!
