When the family found the little kitten, they waited to see if its mother showed up. But when she didn’t, they knew the tiny feline needed their help.

A little TLC

They took her into their home, fed her, bathed her, and kept her warm. They named her Polly. And though they weren’t planning on getting a cat, something amazing happened which made them change their mind.

From the very first night, Polly crawled to Pax, the family’s 13-year-old yellow Lab. She curled up into a ball next to him and fell fast asleep. More incredible still, Pax didn’t leave her side for the whole night, keeping watch and making sure she was safe.

Raised by dogs

Though Polly is all grown up now, she was undoubtedly raised by canines, because she acts more like a dog than a cat! And she is still just as close to Pax as she was on that very first night, if not, closer!

The two are the best of friends and spend their days watching for squirrels, napping, and playing together. They make the cutest couple!
