LA resident Scott Perry has decided to tie the knot with his beloved cat. The match made in heaven has been received surprisingly well by hundreds of onlookers.

In 2009 a Northern Irish woman married her Yorkshire Terrier, and last year someone else got hitched to a Golden Retriever on live TV. In 2006 a man was forced to marry a Sudanese goat, and four years later a Balinese man was obliged to marry a cow after he claimed it had flirted with him.
Not so strange
The strangest of human-animal marriages take place all of the time but in Mr Perry’s case things are not all that they seem.
During lockdown, Perry decided that in order to raise money for the shelter where he first spotted his cat, he would stage a wedding. And his girlfriend heartily approved.
Perry and Olivia Le Chat met only recently at the Best Friends Animal Society NKLA. He told the Hindustan Times, “It was love at first sight! Well, sorta -- Olivia hopped right into my girlfriend’s lap and right into our hearts!”
The couple brought Olivia home and fell in love with their new find.
The ‘big day’ is to take place tomorrow, 23rd of May.
