With pet grooming businesses shut due to Covid-19 lockdown, some pet owners have decided to take matters into their own hands when it comes to giving their pets a trim. But one dog owner quickly discovered that some jobs are best left to the professionals.

Hermione from Sydney, Australia, is the proud owner of 13-year-old Mash, a little Pomeranian dog who boasts a coat of thick golden fur.

Makeover mayhem

However, Hermione has revealed just what can happen if you think your pet's hair needs a quick trim. Uploading photos to her Instagram page, the embarrassed owner tells her followers that they should take it from Mash, it's best to wait until the professionals are back!

Too short!

She had hoped to give her pet a quick makeover, buying her own set of dog clippers. But she soon discovered that the blades were too wide and took off much more fur than she'd planned.

Poor little Mash. At least dog fur grows back!
