The TV presenter lost his beloved Shih-Tzu Boycie just yesterday. A heartbroken O'Grady shared the sad news on social media this morning.
Best friends forever
This isn't the first time O'Grady knows grief like this one. In February last year, he lost his other dog, Bullseye. At the time, he said on Radio 2:
Though this is an indescribably difficult time for the dog enthusiast, O'Grady's fans have been supporting him from all around the world. A picture of him with his beloved Boycie was shared on Twitter just a few hours ago, and has already racked up an incredible 5.6k likes, along with hundreds of comments from people sending him well wishes.
Dog's best friend?
Paul O'Grady is best known for his work with Battersea, helping dogs get adopted through his much-loved show: For The Love Of Dogs, more affectionately known as POGDogs, for obvious reasons.
Thanks to O'Grady's help, hundreds of dogs have been adopted throughout the years. And we know Boycie's spirit will continue to live on through all those happy ‘tails’.
We wish Paul the best of luck in getting through the next few difficult days and weeks.
