A rescue kitty turned family pet
Tofu started life as a street kitty and was rescued at just a few months old. When her rescuer couldn't take her in, Mohammad Fahmi decided to adopt her.
She immediately became one of the family and her playful, inquisitive nature meant she wanted to be involved with everything.
The pretty white cat loves her family so much that she has taken to following them around, whatever they're doing.
Fahmi's dad usually goes to the mosque five times a day to pray but due to the current pandemic and rules on social distancing, he now prays at home. Much to the delight of little Tofu!
Prayer time for felines
Tofu joins in with every single prayer. She's happy to distract her family by rolling around, playing with their prayer mats. So the family had the novel idea of giving her a small prayer mat of her own!
The trick worked and Tofu seems to understand that the smaller mat (an unused travel rug that's just the right size) is meant for her.
It took her a while to get used to it but more and more she takes to her own little rug and leaves the family to pray uninterrupted.
It's a strange time for all of us right now but these new routines must be very confusing for our pets. Tofu knows that her family take the time to be together in a calm way and that's bound to appeal to any pet!
