A rescue cat in America is living his best life showing the world that you can be whatever you want to be – even an Easter bunny – you've just got to believe in yourself.

Meet Lunchbox. The cat from Oklahoma was rescued as a stray by the Oklahoma Humane Society.

While Lunchbox has been enjoying his new comfortable life as a foster kitty while he waits to be adopted, he’s also been showcasing his skills as a potential Easter bunny.

Staff at the charity decided to enter Lunchbox into a competition to find the pawfect pet to be America’s next Cadbury bunny. The winner would front a new Cadbury advert promoting the chocolate brand's crème eggs in the U.S. and receive a £4,000 prize.

Top 10 finalist

Despite Lunchbox looking the part in his white bunny ears, sadly the feline hopeful didn't win. But he was named as a top 10 finalist.

It was Lieutenant Dan who got the most public votes, a two-legged dog from Ohio.

Oklahoma's catvocate

Lunchbox took his defeat well posting on the charity's Facebook page that he will now be concentrating on other important duties as the official rescue ‘catvocate’ for Oklahoma.

He may have missed out on the sought-after title of Cadbury bunny, but Lunchbox is a star in our eyes!
