Like many of us, Andrew Cotter is struggling with life on lockdown. As a sports presenter for BBC Scotland, he usually spends his days commenting on major sporting events.

Life on lockdown

But with all sport suspended as part of the fight against coronavirus, he was forced to commentate on a very different kind of competition.

Keep your pooch healthy with these top dog nutrition tips.

This one involved two Labradors called Olive and Mable, and it was all about who could eat their dinner the fastest.

It was a close run affair, but Mable just pipped her doggy sister to the finishing line.

Andrew shared a video of this month's only sporting highlight on Twitter. The 60-second clip has over 8.5million views and almost 300k likes. And Mable and Olive have even acquired a few celebrity fans.

Mable is howling for a rematch

Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds posted a line of laughing emojis after he watched the dogs go nose to nose. Fellow broadcaster Dan Walker also gave his seal of approval. In fact, he thought it was the highlight of Andrew's already distinguished career. Dan wrote:

"Cotter… I love that this is going to be the highlight of your career. We need a sequel."

We agree with him on the last part. After all, it's only fair that Olive gets her rematch. In the meantime, there's no hard feeling between this adorable pair.
