Like many countries across the world, Israel is on lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Lockdown won't stop this dog going for walkies

So when the locals in a small village heard a strange buzzing noise coming from outside, they rushed to the windows.

And they couldn't quite believe what they saw. It was a dog. And it was going for a walk. Sounds pretty normal, right? Well, this pup wasn't being walked by his human, but by a remote-controlled flying drone!

As you can see, the little Japanese Spitz looks perfectly happy with his robot handler.

The short clip has around 4.4million views and was retweeted over 40K times.

One person commented:

'Just need a smaller drone to follow to scoop the poop, and I think this is a win!'

Where have we seen this before?

And while most Twitter users were impressed by the video, one person pointed out that it's not as original as we first thought.

So is this the future for pet care in the 21st century or will the human touch always win the day? We think it will. But for now, expect to see a lot more remote-controlled dog walks.
