A special way to stay in!

Life has changed dramatically over the last two weeks and many of us are trying to find new and amusing ways to fill our time. This family from Utah in the US, have come up with a truly novel way to spend an evening at home: recreating the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, with help from their pooch.

The ride is one of the biggest hits at Disneyland and we're starting to see why!

All aboard!

The video begins as two younger members of the family “board the ride” by getting comfortable on a sledge as a ticket attendant welcomes them aboard.

Next, they float past a man playing the banjo before zooming down the stairs (complete with very authentic, and probably genuine, screams) in place of the big drop!

They float past long-dead pirate skeletons still guarding their loot, pirate women trying to capture wild chickens and even go underneath a drunken pirate, not forgetting, of course, the pup's big scene.

The family cleverly recreate the famous scene where the pirates attempt to coax cell keys away from the dog and the Schnauzer plays his part perfectly by ignoring the coaxes and whistles as any good guard dog would.

The ride of course, ends with Captain Jack Sparrow himself whistling a sea shanty.

The video has, unsurprisingly, gone viral and people have praised the creativity of the family and, of course, the Oscar-worthy performance from the family pooch!
