Thinking outside the (pizza) box

Animal rescue shelters sometimes need to think a little creatively to get their pets adopted. This shelter has gone to a new level by putting cats and dogs on pizza boxes!

Niagara SPCA is a no-kill animal shelter in Niagra Falls, New York. With an influx of gorgeous animals that were all looking for their forever homes, they were all out of ideas, until they had a unique visitor.

Ask and you shall receive! Not only will you see adoptable dogs on the Just Pizza & Wing Co. Amherst, NY Location boxes, you will now find adoptable cats!

A match made in doggy heaven

Mary Alloy, the owner of local pizza restaurant, Just Pizza & Wing Co, volunteered for a few days at the shelter to give something back to the animals she loves. Whilst she was there, the two companies realised that together they could do something special.

An unlikely combination perhaps but Mary happily agreed to put pictures of animals looking for homes on their takeaway pizza boxes and the results are, well pretty adorable!

A runaway success

The campaign has been an absolute success. The pizza customers love seeing the pictures on their boxes and this has connected pets with potential owners. The story has become something of a social media sensation and now Mary and her pizza co. are offering a £50 pizza voucher to all who rescue a dog from the shelter.

A lovely idea that might just help both the pets and their new owners find years of happiness!

We are so excited to share that we have teamed up with our friends at Just Pizza & Wing Co. Amherst, NY Location to help...
