Introducing you to Calypso, a black domestic shorthair located at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home London.

Calypso's ideal location

While Calypso will be just as happy in the suburbs as he would be in the country, what he needs without a doubt is a cat-flap and 24-hour access to his outdoor kingdom! The panther in him is still very present! What's more, he would prefer his kingdom to be his very own: Calypso wants to be the only pet in the house, he is, however, happy to share with human teens.

Caring for Calypso

Calypso is only 4 years old, so he's got a long life ahead of him. Be prepared to stare into those piercing green eyes for another 10 to 15 years… As with any cat, you should expect a lot of shedding, but his short coat will only require a quick brush through once a week to stay soft and shiny.

A big cat with a kitten's heart

Though Calypso is imposing in stature, he is in fact a big softie! He loves nothing more than getting cuddles and scratches from his human friends – his loud purr will speak for itself! Calypso also has a very playful side to him, and he particularly loves to chase (and catch) his string toy. He would make the perfect addition to a family who’s looking for a gorgeous cat to love on and have fun with!
