It's only when foster mum Lauren puts him down on the ground that you see it: Fruit's back legs don't work.
The strangest thing about it is that vets don't even know why: x-rays came back normal, so there's really no explanation for it.
All odds against Fruit
This, added to a terrible virus the kitten contracted in his early days, meant that vets recommended that Fruit be put down. But that wasn't an option for Lauren who had already seen his personality shine. She did everything she could to keep the adorable kitten alive, helped him through all the treatments necessary, and never EVER gave up on him.
Nothing can stop this little kitty
And with all that TLC, he was back on his feet in no time – literally! Thanks to laser therapy, Baby Fruit is starting to stand on his own! His foster mum hopes that someday, he'll even be able to walk like a normal cat!
There's no doubt that this cat had a rough start to life – weigh him and you'll see. He should be a lot heavier than he is! He'll be a pocket-sized kitty forever.
But that doesn't stop him from living life to the fullest. Keep fighting Baby Fruit, you're doing so well!
