Happily married for two years, Alicia and Kyle Castillo are often asked when they will be having a baby. But the couple are in no rush to have children. They are very happy raising their beloved dog Hank, a 9-year-old Labrador, for the time being.
They eventually got so fed up with being asked about it, they decided to hatch a plan to teach everyone a lesson.
Inspired by the gender reveals they often see on social media, the couple decided to do their own gender reveal. But for their new puppy.
It's a boy!
Alicia and Kyle created signs and decorated a box full of balloons. They then posted a series of photos online showing them revealing the gender of their new arrival. A boy.
People had to click on the post and scroll through to finally discover the truth about their new family member. But as many people didn't view the full post, the couple were inundated with messages congratulating them on the pregnancy.
Eventually, people realised the new offspring was, in fact, a pup.
The trick worked. Everyone has finally learned their lesson and stopped asking the couple about their family plans.
The couple continues to be happy focusing on their canine family, including new pup Cooper.
