The Call of the Wild hits cinemas very soon and, we imagine, dog lovers will be first in line to catch it.
A classic tale
The story is a modern adaptation of the classic 1903 novel by Jack London. The movie tells the tale of Buck a big, silly, disobedient St. Bernard cross who starts his life as the pampered pooch of rich owners.
Before long, the adorable dog is stolen by vicious dognappers and sold into a life of hard work and drudgery.
Get cosy for this snowy adventure
Forced to work on a sled team in freezing Klondike (yes, that of gold rush fame), Buck is treated terribly and forced to be a rear dog led by a mean dog named Spitz. So far, so heart breaking. But, the story does not end there.
Enter Thornton (played by Harrison) Ford to add some true love and companionship to the tale.
The pampered pup responds to the call of the wild
The film is a classic adventure and we watch as Buck faces down his enemies and slowly emerges as the leader of the pack.
If you love dogs then there’s every chance that you'll love this snowy, dog-filled adventure. Perfect for a rainy weekend watch.
The Call of the Wild comes to UK cinemas on February 19th. Check out the trailer here:
