Like many of us, Stella the dog made a New Year's resolution to get more active. But as we've learned over the passing years, creating a new 'me' is never as easy as it sounds!

When Stacey Buck adopted Stella from an animal shelter a few years ago, she knew she was taking on a challenge.
A portly pooch
Her new fur-baby was well-behaved and very loving, but, as the vet advised, she needed to shed a few pounds.
All Stacey had to do was limit the doggy treats and make sure Stella got plenty of exercise.
Sounds easy enough, right?
Well, the portly pooch had other ideas. Because whenever Stacey took her beloved pet for a calorie-burning stroll, this happened.
Tracey calls it the flop, and while Stella's signature move isn't helping her shift the weight, it's turned her into a bit of a local celebrity.
Speaking to the Dodo, Tracey said:
"Most people in my neighbourhood know her though and just laugh and shake their head when they drive by."
New year, same old Stella!
Tracey was hoping that the new year might inspire Stella to get a little more active. But while Stella made some improvement at the beginning of 2020, she isn't about to stop flopping any time soon!
Still, Tracey won't give up trying. She's determined to help her pooch get a little healthier.
We think she'll get there eventually. Just remember, Tracey - patience really is a virtue, especially when it comes to this 'lazy' pup!
