Bandit has always been a loving and friendly dog. Visitors to the Gwinnett Dog Shelter fell in love with this very special pooch, and so he soon found himself a home.
Bandit is back where he started
But Bandit needs a wheelchair to help him walk, and his new owners couldn't provide the support he needed. So the pup found himself back at the shelter.

Bandit then met his second set of dog-parents, but they sent him back just a few weeks later!
And then the same thing happened again, and once again after that! Poor little Bandit was about to give up hope. Was he destined to live out the rest of his dog days in the shelter?
Not if Darrel Rider could help it. He saw Bandit's story online and knew this was the dog for him.
The ending Bandit deserves
Because just like Bandit, Darrel also uses a wheelchair to get around.
Speaking to The Dodo, Darrel said:
"The most intriguing part is that he and I share the same type of paralysis and use a wheelchair to get around...We felt a much deeper connection."
Bandit now loves life in his first forever home. More importantly, he's got a dog-dad who'll never give up on him!
