You wouldn't necessarily think of these three very different species co-existing happily. In fact, you would think of them instead running away from or chasing each other all day long! But that's not the case with these three – they are the best of pals!

A very good dog

It all starts with Marley – a long-haired black German Shepherd Dog. Living in Melbourne, Australia, with her dog mum and siblings, she has a lot of friends!

Indeed, she is incredibly well socialised and gets along well with all sorts of species! Which is great, because her mum also owns a bunny named Tracy, and regularly brings home guinea pigs, cats, and a variety of fowl!

Marley's mum regularly posts about her dog and friends on their Instagram account – which is how the furry family got so famous. But the video that went viral above all others is one that features Marley, a bunny, and 2 chicks. It’s been viewed over 45k times and it’s not hard to see why! Marley is the biggest animal sitting there on the couch, but she is so gentle with her little friends!

The importance of socialisation

Now just because Marley is a very well-behaved girl, that doesn't mean you should just expect dogs to get along with all their furry and feathered friends! In fact, some dogs (like Terriers or Sighthounds), have a natural instinct to chase after them!

The best thing to do if you want your pet to get along with these little critters is to socialise them when they're very young. The earlier they are in contact with them, the better they'll get along in the future!

In the meantime, you can just enjoy watching Marley interacting with her pack - it's guaranteed to put a smile on your face!
