Children can have very close bonds with the family dog. Given they are raised properly and taught how to respect their canine friends, they can share a very privileged relationship with them.
Best friends furr-ever
Leo MacDonald and his German Shepherd Zeus have a special affinity for each other. Even though Zeus is well over 5 times Leo’s size, they are the best of friends.
Zeus is very gentle with his little human, even when the two play together!
In this video captured by Leo's mum, Zeus can be seen approaching the baby in a very playful manner. The baby then decides to chase his dog friend, crawling across the floor as fast as he can! But Zeus is too fast for him, and disappears on the other side of the wall…
This game of chase goes on and on, with the pair looking for each other and following each other in endless loops around the house.
Dogs and children
Though this video is incredibly cute, we urge Wamiz readers to always be cautious when letting a dog play with a child. No matter how sweet dogs can be, they may sometimes feel uncomfortable with a child's rough play. And children can’t always pick up on the signs that a dog is uncomfortable, which can very quickly lead to disaster.
Better safe than sorry, always supervise interactions between a child and a dog!
