Age is just a number
Senior pets in shelters are often passed over by potential forever homes in favour of younger dogs and puppies. This gorgeous boy would be pushing 90 in human years but is still as lively and playful as ever.
Ace is a Cattle Dog mix and is proving that age is just a number. According to the centre where he lives, he loves going for walks, is always up for playtime and can happily jump into the backseat of a car for car journeys.
Looks can be deceiving
This adorable dog is currently at Sacremento SPCA so he may be a tad far away for us to adopt (or we'd be on the phone to them right now) and while he certainly doesn't act his 19 years, he might just look it. His eyesight is almost gone but he has enough to go for walks and play fetch at close range.
He's currently at a foster home and his foster owner said,
“He thinks he's 2 years old, not 19!”
A new toy for Ace
His foster mum recently took Ace to a pet shop for a new toy. Ace nuzzled a few and finally picked out his favourite, a red fox. Ace didn't quite understand the concept of paying so was heading for the door with his new toy before his mum had the chance to pay! Watch the funny vid here:
