When a stray kitten started scratching at the door of a family home in Montreal, Canada, all she wanted was a second chance at life.
A last cry for help
The orphan had nowhere else to go, and this was her last cry for help.
The family couldn't turn their back on the little furball, so they found a local rescue centre that would give her all the care she needed.

Staff at the Chatons Orphelins Montréal rescue centre named the kitten 'Eleven', and they quickly realised that she was quite the character. In fact, Eleven has a reputation for being a little bit of a 'diva!'
"Eleven is very mischievous. She's got a lot of energy and is always trying to play."

She started exploring every nook and cranny of the rescue centre and was always making friends with new visitors. The only thing she didn't seem to like was being left alone!
"She's afraid of nothing, a real diva! As soon as she gets attention, she's happy," said one of Eleven's carers.

And with such a special personality, it wasn't long before someone decided to offer Eleven a forever home!
According to Eleven's new cat mum, the former stray soon settled into family life. She made friends with her new cat-brother and appears completely unaffected by her rough start in life.
A sad start, but a very happy ending
Eleven's new owner said:
"Even though she was found outside, she behaves like a kitten who has never known danger."
