Festive feat of 17 sausage dogs who pose together for the perfect Christmas pic!

It took a while, but Liam finally got the perfect picture © Liam Beach - Facebook

When this pooch owner decided to line up his 17 sausage dogs for the perfect Christmas photo, he knew it wasn't going to be easy! But did he bite off more than he could chew?

Liam Beach, from Rhondda, Wales, is the proud dog-dad of 17 Dachshunds and a  black Labrador named Jess.

He recently decided to get his pack together for a super-cute Xmas snap, but as you can probably imagine, shepherding 17 sausage dogs and a Labrador was never going to be easy.

Treats and squeaky toys

Liam dressed his furry gang in Xmas jumpers, hoping it would get them into the festive spirit. Unfortunately for Liam, the dogs thought they were getting ready for walkies and quickly became overexcited.

He then resorted to the tried and tested tools of any experienced dog handler, treats and squeaky toys.

Forty-five minutes (and a lot of false starts) later, Liam had the whole family lined up on the stairs. He took a few quick snaps, praying his pooches had held their 'paw-fect' poses!

Thankfully they did, and Liam breathed a big sigh of relief! Speaking to the Daily Mail, he said:

"It took about 45 minutes to get the picture, because when the dogs were dressed in their outfits they thought it was time to go walking and all went crazy running around the house."

He continued:

"Once they were on the stairs it took ten minutes to get the picture using a squeaky ball and a bag of treats this time around."

What's next?

Still, Liam thinks it was well worth the effort. His festive pics are legendary among his friends and family, so he knew he had to pull something pretty special out of the bag this year.

"My friend Catherine challenged me to try to get all of my lot sat on the stairs for a photo," said Liam. "She said "I bet you can't pull it off" so I thought "challenge accepted". She also promised me a box of chocolates if I managed it."

The only question is, how's he going to top these pictures next Christmas?

Well that was a task πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
